Modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) replaces the air inside a sealed pack with a gas mixture selected for the product. Combined with a suitable barrier tray and lidding film, it can help maintain freshness and appearance and extend the shelf life of chilled foods.
MAP performance depends on the product, gas mixture, tray and lidding film barrier, seal integrity and storage conditions. Because we supply both trays and lidding films, they can be developed as a coordinated system, helping improve compatibility and sealing consistency on your packaging line.
