Retort is the hardest thing you can ask a laminate to survive. The pack goes into a pressurised vessel at sterilisation temperature with the product inside it, and the adhesive system has to hold through the entire cycle without delamination, seal creep or blistering.
That is an adhesive and structure question, not a film question. We use retort-grade adhesives and nylon or foil-containing builds specified against your process - time, temperature and overpressure - and we want those numbers before we quote, not after the first trial fails.
Retort pouches replace cans and jars with a pack that heats faster, ships lighter, stores flatter and merchandises better - while holding the same ambient shelf life.
