CPET (crystallized polyethylene terephthalate) is a heat-resistant material used for frozen and chilled ready-meal trays. Its crystalline structure provides the thermal stability needed for conventional oven and microwave heating in suitable grades.
Consistent material quality and process control help trays maintain their shape under the intended storage and heating conditions. Tray selection should take into account the food product, heating temperature and duration, and compatibility with the lidding film.
Available in black, with single-, two-, and three-compartment configurations. Dual-ovenable grades are available for conventional oven and microwave use.
